    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pilot Checkride Prep ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    2. Description of Services

Pilot Checkride Prep provides comprehensive checkride preparation services for pilots at all certificate levels. Our services include:

2.1 Online Ground Instruction (Human CFI)

One-on-one online ground instruction sessions conducted by certificated flight instructors (CFIs). These sessions cover:

    • ACS-aligned knowledge review for all certificate levels (Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII)
    • Oral exam preparation with experienced CFIs
    • Personalized instruction tailored to your training needs
    • FOI (Fundamentals of Instructing) preparation for instructor candidates

2.2 Mock Checkride Sessions (Human CFI)

Simulated oral examinations conducted by our CFIs to prepare you for your actual checkride. These sessions replicate the checkride experience and identify areas needing improvement.

2.3 AI CFI Study Tool (Supplementary)

An AI-powered chatbot designed to supplement your training between sessions with human instructors. This tool provides:

    • Practice questions and knowledge review
    • AI-simulated mock oral practice
    • 24/7 availability for study assistance

    3. Human CFI Instruction Services

    3.1 Instructor Qualifications

All ground instruction and mock checkride sessions are conducted by certificated flight instructors (CFIs) who hold current FAA certificates and have extensive experience preparing students for checkrides.

    3.2 Session Booking and Scheduling

Sessions are booked through our scheduling system (powered by Square Appointments). You agree to:

    • Provide accurate contact information for appointment confirmations
    • Arrive on time for scheduled sessions
    • Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice when possible

    3.3 Session Conduct

Sessions are conducted online via video conferencing. You are responsible for:

    • Having a stable internet connection
    • Being in a quiet environment conducive to learning
    • Having necessary study materials available

    3.4 Training Limitations

Our ground instruction services cover knowledge preparation only. We do not provide:

    • Flight instruction or dual flight time
    • Aircraft rental or access
    • Practical test (flight portion) preparation in an aircraft
    • Instructor endorsements for solo flight, cross-country, or practical tests

You must work with your primary flight school or CFI for flight training, endorsements, and practical test sign-offs.

    4. AI CFI Terms and Limitations

4.1 Nature of the AI Tool

The AI CFI is an artificial intelligence chatbot—not a human instructor. You acknowledge that:

    • Time spent using the AI CFI does NOT count as flight instruction
    • The AI CFI cannot provide endorsements or sign logbooks
    • The AI CFI cannot certify your readiness for any checkride
    • AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors
    • You must verify information against official FAA publications

    4.2 AI Usage Limits

Free accounts receive 5 AI prompts. Paid AI subscriptions include 500 prompts per month to ensure fair usage.

    5. Payments and Refunds

    5.1 Ground Instruction Sessions

Payment for ground instruction and mock checkride sessions is processed at the time of booking through Square. Pricing is displayed during the booking process.

    5.2 AI CFI Subscriptions

AI CFI subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

    5.3 Refunds

Refunds for cancelled sessions are subject to our cancellation policy. Contact us for refund requests related to subscription services.

    6. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account or booking sessions.

    7. Acceptable Use

    You agree NOT to:

    • Provide false information when booking or creating an account
    • Record sessions without instructor consent
    • Share account credentials or session access with others
    • Use automated systems to access the AI service
    • Misrepresent AI-generated content as human instruction

    8. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." WHILE OUR HUMAN INSTRUCTORS ARE EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIED, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU WILL PASS YOUR CHECKRIDE. SUCCESS DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS INCLUDING YOUR PREPARATION, FLIGHT TRAINING, AND PERFORMANCE ON TEST DAY.

    9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PILOT CHECKRIDE PREP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

    • Failed checkrides or practical tests
    • Decisions made based on instruction or AI-generated information
    • Flight training expenses or delays
    • Any aviation-related incidents or accidents

    10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pilot Checkride Prep and its instructors from any claims arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

    11. Intellectual Property

All content and materials are owned by Pilot Checkride Prep. You may use materials for personal educational purposes only.

    12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
